Day Sailing Yacht Charters Tarragona, Spain

The eternally sunny port city of Tarragona is located in the south of Catalonia on the north-east of Spain, by the Mediterranean. The town’s medieval heart is one of the most beautifully designed in Spain, its a maze of narrow cobbled streets encircled by steep walls and crowned with a splendid cathedral and its sandstone buildings seemingly suffused with golden light. The main living heritage of the city is the popular Retinue, which is a hugely popular parade of dances, bestiary and spoken dances and the human towers. They specially participate in Santa Tecla Festival. They are so well known in Tarragona and pretty much everywhere in Catalonia that they have got their own home. It is called “Casa de la Festa”, meaning the house of Festivities, where you can visit them all the year. A number of beaches line the Mediterranean coast near the city. The holiday resort of Salou and the theme park Port Aventura, one of the largest in Europe is also located near Taragona.

Day Sailing Yacht Charters:

Spanish Sailing runs day sailing yacht charters & sailing lessons out of Tarragona. You can come & have a day out on the sea. You can celebrate your birthday or anniversary.

How it works:

Choose a day:

The boat sailing charters are flexible & let you choose the time when you would like to sail. A usual day can be a morning or an afternoon sail or maybe an afternoon or evening session. You can try the sunset special packages & end the day with dinner on board in port watching the lights come up over the city.

Eating options:

The package usually includes a light lunch snack and drinks. But there is no limitation you can always enjoy Cava buffets or dinner on board in port after a sunset sail option.

Learn to sail:

The day can be used as an ‘introduction to sailing’ lesson. The Spanish Sailing group is an authorised International Yacht Training (IYT) school which is allowed to run & examine a number of recognised courses. A day out on the sea can include an introduction to sailing lessons & an evaluation of your skills and requirements

Try a sail:

You can take a day to see if sailing is something you and your family would like to take up. You won’t be able to find a better environment and sea conditions anywhere in the world.

The Sailing base:

Tarragona has the advantage of rural coastline immediately you leave the marina with a choice of beautiful coves in which to anchor. Barcelona for instance is a large port and takes several hours just to get to open sea from most bases. There are three really inexpensive trains an hour & anyone arriving by train will be met at the station.

Do you need to have Sailing Experience:

A huge NO. No experience or qualification is necessary. You can just sit back and enjoy the trip or get actively involved in sailing the boat.
