The statue was created by the sculptor Edward Eriksen and was presented to the city by the famous brewer of Carlsberg beer, Carl Jacobsen. 7. Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen, Denmark
It is a Danish National Gallery located besides the botanical gardens, Rosenborg Castle and near Norreport station that contains 9,000 paintings and sculptures, almost 300,000 works of art on paper like copper prints, drawings, etchings, watercolors, lithographic and Royal Cast Collection of statues and reliefs from museums, churches and public places throughout the world. 1. Kronborg Castle, Helsingor, Denmark
Kronborg is a cultural and the most important Renaissance in Northern Europe and has been added to UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites list in the year of 2000. It was built to validate Denmark’s power and prosperity. Elegant banquets were typical events of castle life and the castle’s grandiose architecture was an excellent scrim for king and his court. Castle was Shakespeare’s inspiration for “Elsinore” in his famous play Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. Kronborg Castle can be visited at the Northern most tip of the Danish island of Zealand.
